Q: How long have you actively practiced law?
A: Since 1977.

Q: How do you determine the fee in a personal injury case?
A: I generally handle personal injury cases on a contingency basis, that is, you do not owe a fee until I collect funds for you.

Q: How long does it take to conclude a personal injury case?
A: Depending on the complexity of the case (liability and damage issues), after medical release, the average case is normally concluded within 2 to 18 months.

Q: How long does it take if a lawsuit is filed?
A: There again, it depends on the complexity of the case (liability and damage issues). Of the lawsuits filed, very few go to trial. Once a lawsuit is filed (normally based on denial of liability), it may take from 2 months to 2 years to conclude the case.

Q: If I slip and fall in a store, the store is liable, right?
A: Because you slipped and fell in a store does not make the store liable; you have the burden of proving that a dangerous condition existed which the store knew about and failed to correct, or, that the dangerous condition had been there so long that the store should have known about it and failed to correct it.
